Physical Training session for Guys

There is a COMPULSORY session tomorrow (26-06-2008) at 1130 hrs for the Floorball boys. Those having block tests in the afternoon and on Friday are exempt from this session. Please inform either Ding Jun or Gary if you are unable to come.

Keeping up your Fitness Level

The following sums up what Mark mentions on the tag board"

To maintain fitness level, do minimum 20mins of slow jog on alternate days. Slowly build it up to 30mins and no walking allowed during the jog.

In addition, do 3 sets of (20 push ups, 20 Crunches(Hold for 5secs for every repetition), 15 Tug-jumps) Rest for a maximum a minute for every set.

For those who think your fitness is there already, you may want to try out 'fartlek' session. If you are able to get to stadium, sprint (abt 80% effort) for 100m then walk back 50m. 1 set is done when you get back to the starting point again. So you should have done 7 sprints.

You may want to try for 2sets for starting out, but take care of your body, do not over strain. However if you could not go down to a stadium, just the neighbourhood area you could go. Sprint for 15 secs, no less. then slow JOG for about 35 secs. Similarly after finishing 7 sprints, you complete a set. Do 2 sets for starting. For Fartlek, the resting time between a set is 3minutes. And only Hydrate yourself after every SET.

These sessions do go for them on alternate days only to allow a day rest in between for your body as competition/tests are nearing. x)
